SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruiting the candidates having good stenography skills. It is an all India entrance exam. The exam will be held in the month of August 2019. The Staff Selection Commission will publish the notification for SSC Stenographer 2019, probably in the month of June, 2019. The more information related to SSC Stenographer exam 2019 such as Eligibility Criteria, Important Dates, Exam Pattern, Admit and Result etc. are given below:

Eligibility Criteria:

A. Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either: 
(a) a citizen of India, or 
(b) a subject of Nepal, or 
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or 
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

B. Age Limit:

(a) For Stenographer Grade C: 18 to 30 years as on 01-01-2019 (i.e. candidates born on or after 02-01-1989 and born before or on 01-01-2001)

(b) For Stenographer Grade D: 18 to 27 years as on 01-01-2019 (i.e. candidates born on or after 02-01-1992 and born before or on 01-01-2001)

(c) Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit is given in the table below:
