IBPS PO 2019:- Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) holds the IBPS PO Bank Exam to select Probationary Officers in Public Sector banks. IBPS offers recruitment services to all Public-Sector Banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, LIC & Insurance companies and regular member Banks of the IBPS society. IBPS PO 2019 Notification has been released by IBPS on Jan 16. The total number of vacancies this year is expected to be more than 4 thousand. The online registration is expected to begin in July. The exam is conducted in two parts- IBPS PO Preliminary Exam and IBPS PO Mains Exam.

The IBPS PO exam dates have been released in the latest notice released by IBPS. The important dates for IBPS PO /MT CWE IX 2019 are as follows:

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria - 2019

Educational Qualification

  • Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the IBPS CWE exam is as basic as a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech or as such) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Any such candidate who has received equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam.
  • Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
  • Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT is desirable. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.

Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants: A candidate applying for IBPS CWE/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:

  1. Citizen of India
  2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
  4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in their favour.

Age Eligibility:

Any candidate who is applying for the IBPS CWE examination should not be less than 20 years oldand not more than 30 years old at the time of registration. In addition to this, there isage relaxation applicable to category wise candidates as per the government rules:

IBPS PO Exam Pattern

The IBPS PO exam (CWE 9) for hiring candidates will be based on an online written exam in two parts: Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam. This examination is followed by a face-to-face interview process.

IBPS PO 2019 Vacancy

Yes, you can appear as there is no specifications regarding the percentage but should have completed the graduation.

Q10 Is it a bilingual exam?

Yes, except the English language test as the other tests are conducted bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

Q11 What is the cut-off for IBPS PO recruitment?

There is no fixed cut-off. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year.

Q12 What do you mean by sectional cut off?

Sectional cut off means candidate is required to clear every section in order to secure a seat for the Interview. IBPS PO examination has sectional cutoff.

Q13 Whether examination has negative marking?

Yes, 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
