Interrogative Sentence Examples
In interrogative sentence, a direct is question is asked, and these are punctuated with a question mark. Such type of sentence usually ends with a note of interrogation (?) instead of a period (.). An interrogative sentence can be either in affirmative or negative form.
Some Interrogative sentences start with the question words, but others are yes/no questions type that begins with the verb instead of the noun. It is important to note that interrogative sentences still require a noun and a verb to be completed.
Interrogative sentence can be framed by using W and H frames like who, why, when, where, what, whom, whose and how.
Interrogative sentence can be framed by using verbs functioning as auxiliary like is, are, am, was, were, have, has, had, do, does and did.
Interrogative sentence can be further framed by using modal verbs like shall, should, will, would, can, could, may, must etc.
